Dart Container Corporation of Kentucky in Horse Cave, KY opened in 1980 and is Hart County's largest employer. The Horse Cave plant currently employs approximate 1500 of Hart County residents as well as many from the surrounding region. Since its opening, the Horse Cave plant has expanded six times.

The Horse Cave facility manufactures a host of Dart products which are used by restaurants, coffee shops, health care facilities, and the food packaging industry. Dart products from Horse Cave also appear on the shelves of many retail operations.

Dart's Horse Cave plant has a consistent history of growth, which has led to employment and production increases approximately every five years.

Dart actively supports the local communities through donations to 4-H and school related programs, Horse Cave Heritage Festival and Relay for Life, American Cave Museum, The Thomas House Renovation, Horse Cave Street Scape, and other area events. Dart also sponsors career days at local schools, blood drives, and provides much needed support for all of the area Fire, Police, and Rescue departments.

Founded by Patricia “Sister Schubert” Barnes in 1989, today the brand bearing her name is known for producing 12 varieties of melt-in-your-mouth-delicious rolls that go from freezer to table in minutes. Located at 900 Top Quality Drive in Horse Cave, employing several hundred people from Horse Cave, Hart Co., and surrounding communities.

It all began in 1896, when young Teresa Marzetti arrived in the United States from Florence, Italy started her small Italian restaurant in Columbus, Ohio.Customers particularly enjoyed Teresa's salad dressings and were often seen leaving the restaurant with bottles of their favorites. After Teresa Marzetti's death in 1972, the restaurant closed forever, but her passion for quality still lives in Marzetti's many salad dressings, dips and croutons. Located at 1000 Top Quality Drive in Horse Cave and employs several hundred people.

Owner Ray Carcione came to Kentucky in 2010 to bring jobs back to the USA that had been lost to foreign based companies. Now that KCW is well established Ray and General Manager, Bob Biltz are ready to increase market share and play an important role in our nations economic recovery.
